Aikido is a Japanese martial art style made famous by actor Steven Seagal.  Aikido is practiced
by men, women, children of all ages, sizes and backgrounds around the world.  Morihei Ueshiba
(1883-1969), the founder, developed Aikido that incorporates techniques form various attacks  by
controlling the attacker and using their strength and power against them.  Aikido students are
taught how to defend themselves against strikes, punches, chokes, kicks and weapons  from
single and multiple attackers.

Aikido incorporates both the spiritual and martial traditions of ancient Japan.
AI - Harmony, unity to join or become one with
nature
KI- Spirit/Energy
Do- The way or path
Aikido students train their mind, body and spirit to better themselves physically and mentally, inside
the dojo  and outside it’s doors.  There are no competitions in Aikido, rather students learn to move
